an especially early compact variety with potato like leaves. Producing round, red fruits, 55g, 50 days after transplanting. Excellent sweet flavour and long production period. Resistant to diseases and adapted to the Brittany climate although not native to this region. Originally bred in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s under the name of STUPICKE POLNI RANE. STUPICE is a derivative name of this legendary variety! Less than 6 years ago the variety PRECOCE de QUIMPER didn't exist and some people call this type of renaming "biodiversity" ... so we do not market it under this misleading name!
